Sell your outgrown children's clothes to us

and help to keep Merry Go Round going round and round...

Did you realise that a child grows through seven clothes sizes during the first two years of their life?!!

It's a scary and expensive thought -  both from a cost to your pocket point of view and for the cost to the environment with the potential for unnecessary textile waste.

We can help you give your 'grown out but not worn out' children's clothes a second childhood, the chance to be loved again and save them from landfill.

Selling to us is easy and straightforward.

You can order one of our stock bags below but first please take a look at our guidance for the type and standard of clothes we accept.

FAQ's

We may accept these brands

It gets a bit tricky with some brands. We do sometimes accept items if they are brand new or very nearly new and in immaculate condition M&S (Limited Collection), Monsoon, GAP, Debenhams (Ted Baker and Jasper Conran only.)

What condition must the clothes be in?

Any clothes you sell to us must be like new or as close to and not be damaged, marked or stained. We can’t accept items with rips, tears, stains, pilling or signs of wear & tear.

Can I send in brands not on the list?

Yes – the list is not exhaustive but we may not be able to take them.

What happens after I send my clothes in?

We aim to assess and price your clothes within 3-5 working days of receiving them. Our selection process is rigorous so it can take a little time. We will then email you a list of the items we would like to accept and a price for them. We do not break down the offer by item and the amount is non-negotiable. Once you have agreed the amount we will pay to a Paypal account or a bank account. Any clothes not accepted by MGR will be returned to you or passed to charity.

How much can I earn?

You will earn 40% of the sales price we think can be achieved by the clothes.
We try to keep the prices we sell at comparable to supermarket clothing prices.

Please see the examples below for a rough guide of how much you will receive for an item.

The items shown below are indicative of age 3-4 clothing. Baby and younger clothes will earn less, older children's clothes will earn slightly more.

The amount will also vary depending on the brand and condition

Price Guidelines (14.8 x 5 cm)
How quickly will I receive my money?

We can pay by Paypal or bank transfer within 24 hours of our offer being agreed.

Can I change my mind and get my clothes back?

Yes of course. We will be happy to return all of your clothes should you not agree to our offer. Any clothes returned will be at your own cost (approx. £3.75 per bag)

Reasons to recycle & reuse your clothes

Request a prepaid stock bag

Order a prepaid stock bag by completing the form below. Fill the bag with clothes and drop it at your local Post Office. The bag will come back to us as Royal Mail, 48 hour tracked.

Please remember to keep hold of your proof of postage certificate

One of our bags will hold approximately 15-20 items of clothing. The number will vary depending on the size of the clothes (eg 20 items size 12-18 months vs 15 items size 7-8 years). Please don't overfill to avoid it splitting in the post!

We suggest that you wait until you have enough items (that meet our guidelines) to sufficiently fill your bag before you send it in. It's much more cost effective for you and for us.
